Since DS Ive been in several other combat actions which the govt will not allow to be called such actions and in them I lost good men and brothers I pray that ond day we (man) will get our heads out of our asses and deal with the problems as men and not fight like childern and waste more good lives.. Your Nam and POW pages brought back many memories and stories that my father told me on nights that he could not sleep..I never understood , but now as a vet myself I do Thank you George my new friend and fellow brother with greatest respect SFC Christopher De Haven sleep well Sir For your watch is over and I shall take up the watch and protect |

It is located at www.angelfire.com/wa2/rollingthunder. If you will put links to our pages then we will do the same for your web page. You can give us a banner and we will post it on both of our webpages. Please let me know if you are interested. |

This is one of the best sites I have run across, and I do a lot of surving. Being a former military spouse myself your site stirred up the emotions. My former husband served in the Gulf war and I know all about the sacrifices that are made by not only the service member but the family as a whole. Living in a house just 3 miles from Ft Campbell, even today the majority of my friends are american service men or their dependents. At this time I have more friends deployed then I care to count. I have to agree with you Clinton is well on his way to unleash WW III It amazes me how a country with this much honor could re-elect this men to a second term. Here is a man that has no honor, refused to serve his country and has no integrity, yet this nation allows this man to send our men and women into battle. I'm an american and pround of it! I was born and raised in Germany, but being a military wife for many years and living in this country and around these dedicated men and women, I felt it was an honor to become a real American. On another note, I do not agree with our forces being in the middle of this civil war overseas, I don't support the goverments position. But it is important to remember, our forces are following orders that were giving by a goverment this country elected and they deserve all of our support. SO SUPPORT OUR SERVICE MEN, THEIR FAMILIES,THE CIVILIANS IN THESE WAR ZONES AND SAY A PRAYER FOR THEM!!!! |

Sherbinsky Website: Referred by: Just Surfed On In From: Lorain, Ohio Time: 1999-01-13 06:32:58 Comments: Inspiring site! My husband is retired from the US Navy, having proudly served in Viet Nam from 1970 - 1974, again from 1983 - 1987, and many years as a Navy Reservist. My father was a US Marine during the time between WWI and WWII. Patriotism has always been a something more than just a word for my family, it has been something so real that you can touch and feel it. I saw the soldier who's name was on my POW bracelet come home in the 1970's (do not remember the exact year anymore), actually watched him walk off the plane! I wear another one today, as a tribute to another lost hero. I pray for his return constantly, and include his spirit with me as I live my everyday life. I am frequently asked if I knew the soldier whos name I proudly wear, and why I wear bracelet. My answer is that no, i did not have the privilege of knowing him, and that the bracelet is a constant reminder to me and to all who see it that there are still men that have not come home, from all the wars. That these missing brothers, dads, husbands and sons need to be kept in our hearts and minds and prayers. And that we who were lucky enough not to have had to make the ultimate sacrifice, who as the recipients of their courage and protection, need to demand from our government their return. Sites like yours give me hope for all of us. People need to see people that give credit to others, and not to themselves. I will visit this site when i need inspiration! (also, fantastic graphics, you are a wonderful artist!) |

I have been proudly serving in the Air Force since June 1983 as a jet engine mechanic and spent 12 years working on the F-4 Phantom. I was doing my part (and still am) to protect this great country of ours. I am also the son of a retired Air Force member and a retired police officer ( 30 yrs in the A.F. active duty and ANG and 28 years as a city of Phoenix police officer)I would like to thank all of our veterans for doing what they did while in thier youth. Because of that, we do not have to do it today, many thanks! It is good to see that I am not alone in thinking that our "Commander in Chief" should step down. he is a slap in the face to anyone who has ever served or that will serve this great nation of ours. Congress should impeach him or he should do the right thing and step down. I have also been the proud member of three base level Honor Guards, and have seen to many times the number of people who do not pay the proper respects to our flag. I do not know how many parades that I have done where people would ignore the flag or just plain not know what to do. Do not forget what it stands for, it stands for everything that we as a people and a country are about. Great web site-keep up the great work-will visit again |

I am the granddaughter of a WWI vet, daughter of a WWII vet, sister to a Viet Nam vet (2 tours, now Ret. Lt Col. USA) and my daughter is currently serving in the US Army. I am a ex-Law Enforcement Officer and Teaching Assistant (Criminal Justice). I too am a Patriot -- the colors fly outside my home every day -- WITH PRIDE. It brought joy to my heart to see that someone had taken the time to create such an awesome websight, awesome is the only word possible to describe it. Our American Heroes deserve such a tribute as this. I thank you. The sorrow is due to the fact that it was necessary to create such a personal tribute. Our Government should have done it! It also brought back the painful memories of how our Viet Nam Veterans were treated on their arrival home. It was disgraceful. To this day, if I meet a Veteran, I thank them, it's the least I can do. I cannot say that I know the fear of war, I have not been t |

Sheffey Website: The American Woodcarvers Emporium Referred by: From a Friend From: Skokie, IL Time: 1998-10-07 09:27:43 Comments: You have a very nice web page. It is pleasant to watch and listen to the music. Chief Walter "Bud" Stopla of Red Wing told me about your website. We correspond almost daily, he being a conservative and I being a bleeding heart liberal. But both of us have somethings in common. We are proud Americans who welcomed the opportunity to have served our country and still continue to do so. One note and this is why I wish this to be a private message. Please don't be offended by the following remarks but I am Jewish and I don't think I have to point out to you that there more than just a few Stars of David, along with crosses, in cemetaries all over the world. I see crosses on your website, but nothing that notes Jewish soldiers killed in serving our Country. Well, it is your website and you do what you want with it. It is, as I stated above, a very fine and inspiring one and well done! |

At times I feel that main stream Americans have lost the Love of Country that once was burned brightly. Duty, Honor, Country has become I, Me, Mine. In some ways, I am really glad that the current generation really has no idea what war is but... it also means that they have no idea what has been given to get them everything that they have. I thank God for the men and women of the military that have served faithfully. The only way I had to honor my great uncle Jeptha Wilson Frunk (killed in WW2) was to pass on a part of his name to my own son, Patrick Wilson Rucker. Jeptha had no children and I will not let my son forget what he did. Thanks for the time and effort that you have put into this. Good Luck. |

My father has always told me "Stand up for what you believe in and DO NOT let anyone tell you that you are wrong when you know in your heart of hearts that an injustice has been done." There are so many things that are unjust in this world that sometimes we turn our head and ignore them or pretend they will go away. Thank you for reminding me that I need to do my part. Those things WILL go away, but only if enough people stand together for what they believe in. But stand firmly in peace. You can not fight violence with violence. I will pass this web page address on to many. I am a Computer Professional with many friends and co-workers who will be inspired by your work. I could write more, but I feel the need to go and watch my children as they sleep. At least for a little while. Thank You and God Bless. Tracie - Austin, Texas |
